VAS MIKLÓS A MUNKA OKTATÁSA A NEMZETI ALAPTANTERVBEN ÉS A TANÁRKÉPZÉS ABSTRACT: (Teaching labour in the National Basic Curriculum and teachers' training) There is no general agreement about the role of the various fields of culture (education) as defined in the National Basic Curriculum even in professional circles. It would be necessary to settle the existing differences before schools prepare their own curricula. One of these fields in judging labour, which is taught with the greatest emphasis within the subject 'technics', but it plays an important part in the bloc of subject 'way of living - family - household' as well. Looking for the possible framework of teaching labour it has been established through detailed analisis that the best solution is organising these two seperate subjects. This is justified by the fact that there are many sovereign topics, while in the common topics the methods of examining are different. Af far as the latter is concerned the subject-matter of the instruction can be co-ordinated. A common value of both subjects is that they integrate the knowledge about human labour acquired in other subjects in the most natural way. The changes of the structure of subjects in the primary school should also be taken into consideration when training teachers for these subjects. The training of teachers of technics has been solved and the training of teachers of 'way of living - family - household' should be started.
