In some of the most ancient settlemets of Hungary the color of mourning is black. The photo above is titled, “Prayer.” In connection with the exhibition there will, be a cultural program on April 12, at 8:00 p.m. with the Kodály Chorus participating under the direction of the Rev. College Offers Hungarian Courses Edison, New Jersey — “I am broadening my understanding of history by this course.” “I am finding out important things about my own heritage.” These are some of the comments made by students of a new three credit course offered for the first time by the Middlesex County College Division of Continuing Education. The innovative offering entitled Hungarian Culture and Society, features a survey of modern Hungary’s social, cultural, economic and political developments. The instruction is conducted in English and includes tapes, films and student presentations on various topics ranging from the life and music of Bela Bartók to the causes of the 1956 Revolution. “These presentations are usually of very high calibre, we feel that they are products not only of thorough research but also of a labor of love,” said Dr. Karoly Nagy, the instructor of the course. Dr. Nagy, a sociologist, is professor and chairman of the Middlesex County College’s Social and Rehabilitation Services curriculum. The 31/2 hour classes meet every Saturday morning in Frelinghuysen Hall of Rutgers University, George Street, New Brunswick. The Saturday School of the Hungarian Alumni Association also meets during the same time there, and the two programs frequently share their resources. The Association has been offering elementary and middle level Hungarian language, culture, literature, history and folk art courses for children and adults for the past sixteen years. calvin urn a I n SYNOD ntryALL/ Reformátusok Lap|a Official Organ Of Tko Colvin lynoW — Unltod Church of CM«* Ftuwdosl In lfOO January-February 1977 Volume 77, No. 1-2 Published bi-monthly.
