THE ACTIVITY DEPARTMENT OF THE BETHLEN HOME During the last several years the Bethlen Home, Staff, and Residents have been participating in the local Alzheimer’s Walk. Staff members, Pat Armel, Kathy Cams and Melinda Pletcher served as committee members for the walk and did a wonderful job in planning and receiving donations from local merchants to give as prizes to those who participated. The goal of the facility is to win back the trophy that is given each year to the group who raises the most funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. “Thanks” to the support and hard work of the staff and residents of the Bethlen Home as a group raised over $3,000 this past year. Staff members Amy Baum and Janet Hoffer raised the most money for our facility. Amy received first place and Janet second place in the overall funds for the walk. We proudly display the trophy for the third year and hope there will be many more. Through the staff’s efforts each resident, volunteer and staff member that participated in the walk, received a shirt.
