church members faithfully ensure the continuing ministry of Christ to the Congregation and to the community as well. The present Congregation are the children and grandchildren of the founders. It is with respect to them, and with thanks to Almighty in our hearts, that we were able during the past year to work in His vineyard and support the Congregation. We have preserved the great heritage of our fathers and mothers, we faithfully remained Hungarian Reformed. We feel that the biblical commend: “Be faithful unto death...” certainly includes faithfulness to our religious and ethnical heritage too. Worship services continue each Sunday and on Holy days without interruption. During the year, the Lord’s table is spread regularly for Holy Communion. Visitations are made to our shut-ins at their homes, nursing homes and hospitals and the Holy Communion was administered to them. We had 1 baptism and 5 funeral services. We are an active church, the Congregation meets the challenges of our times, we are active in our community as well. It is our long tradition that each year we host a Lenten Community worship service, as well, participating in a combined Duquesne Ministerial Association Good Friday worship service. During the year of 2001 we have had a variety of events take place in the church. Mrs. Ilona Posta had a Lenten Brunch that were presented to the ladies and men of our church on Mother’s and Father’s day. A new large cabinet was built by Elmer Tudja to house our large kitchen items. A new Hungarian Cookbook is ready for publication. The new road at the cemetery was completed with positive results and we are happy to report the total amount due was paid in full. At Duquesne Church-Hall Christmas Party 2001. 181
