Bethlen Almanac 2001 (Ligonier)

Közép Egyházmegye - Central Classis

Two pastors from Slovakia visited us and were given donations from our Church, and we also made a donation to the Hungarian Choir from Nagyvárad Partium University, performing in Ligonier, PA., to the Duquesne Voluntary Fire Company, the Duquesne Emergency Medical Service, and the Staten Island Hungarian Reformed Church, which sustained damage to their church hall. On October, we held a chicken paprikas dinner which was a huge success with a very large attendance, thanks to Jeff Kash, the chairman. In November, a dedicated group made kolbász for the upcoming holiday season. This was headed by Elmer Tudja. In December, we baked rolls for Christmas. Julia Nagy was chairlady and her group made a large numbers of rolls. As is the custom, rolls were distributed to the sick and shut-in members. Christmas eve service was held as well as the observing of the Holy Communion on Christmas day. We continually strive to ensure the continuation of our beloved church, ever seeking ways to glorify God and thank Him for bestowing His constant blessings on us. The congregation holds together and worships together in the spiritual bond of our Christian fellowship, which also keeps our Hungarian tradition alive and well. Rev. Joseph Posta Crafts-Sale all year round at the Church. 182
