We are not only a “united” Church, the Body of Christ, but we have a double identity as Christians and as Hungarians. We have a rich heritage - both religious and cultural - to observe and perpetuate. We have Hungarian worship services on Sundays, but we also perform bi-lingual services on holidays. We have special fellowships both in the church and in our Kossuth House, around the tables. We arrange cultural, artistic, and traditional programs regularly. We need everyone’s dedication so that our community might grow and fulfill its destiny to God’s glory. May God continue His blessings on the Hungarian churches in America.

We can look back to the year of 2001 with many thanks in our hearts because God has helped us to serve our church, grow in our spiritual life and reach out to others with love and compassion. His Spirit led our congregation and enabled us to share in the worship, fellowship and financial needs of our church.

Our worship services were attended regularly by our faithful members. Some of our members had assisted in the conduct of the worship by reading the Scriptures, Responsive Readings, Ten Commandments or the Summary of the Law. In the past year the Lord’s Supper was celebrated eight times. In the breaking of the bread and drinking from the cup, we were brought closer to our fellow-believers and joined to Christ. We thank God for giving us loyal members, who are always willing to support our church with their donations.

We carried out our mission with deep commitment. We reached out to the flood victims in Hungary. Gave donation for the building of a new church in the town of Saint Maria, Slovakia. We helped the Soup Kitchen in our community. We collected donations for the Disaster Relief Fund to help the victims of the terrorist attack which happened on September 11.
