The year 1998 was an unusual one in our church life. Due to poor attendance (24 members) and the unavailability of ministers, we had to cut down our services to two a month for the first half of the year. Most of our speakers came from a group of local college students who were chosen by the chaplain of Geneva College to assist us in our Sunday Church Services.

During the year, the students felt called to make a proposal to our church family. This proposal was an answer to our prayers. Under the leadership of Michael Witterman, they proposed to take full leadership of our church services, including the worship, of course, with deference to any stipulations that we would feel necessary to make for these arrange-61
