ments work. Indeed, we were able to increase the attendance through our “college kids” and a new life has begun to trickle through our veins. This year we also achieved a major milestone in our church life by hosting the Women’s Conference of Western Pennsylvania in May. The joy we shared with our sister churches as we fellowshipped together will remain a special memory forever. A group of ladies that was responsible for planning, organizing and baking for the Women’s Conference. Of course, we cannot forget our Ecumenical Worship Service which is now in its 11 th year. The church service is preceded by a Christmas pageant with children in costumes in a musical setting.This year our speaker was Reverend Dr. Szabolcs (Soby) Kalman and his lovely wife Zsuzsa who entertained us with her musical talents. The wonderful table of re­freshments culminated a truly magnificent service. We continue to struggle, but we nevertheless maintain a vision for the future of our church, thanks to the officers and members of our congrega­tion who continue to carry on in spite of the many obstacles. The Lord called home two of our longest serving members: Alexander Stefan and Louis Szabó. We praise God for their lives and their faithful services. We had one baptism: Hanna Csornán. The church basement un­derwent extensive repair work and painting thanks to the free labor of­fered by Endre L. Csornán Remodeling. The Ladies Aid, under the leadership of Elizabeth Rezes and Dr. Sarolta Kovács, did a superb job. We are grateful for their achievements. 62
