BETHLEN NAPTAR AZ 1945-IK ESZTENDŐRE 147. OLDAL deeply feel our shame and the wonder of Thy love for mankind. Abide with us in Thy trusting, loving spirit by the power of which we might turn from our ways and live. Abide with us in Thy heavenly majesty that shall grow in our hearts, bom anew today, until every knee shall bend to Thee and every lip praise Thy reigning power. 0 God, the Father of us all, unto us was born this day Christ our Savior. Awaken in us a read1 ness to accept Him. May we attend to His teachings, follow in His footsteps, carry His cross, and go where He would have us go. We need Christ. Give Him to us, 0 God. Thy world sorely needs Christ. Make our lives glad tidings of great joy to all, help to the needy, courage to the weak, comfort to the sorrowing and hope to the disconsolate that all may find their way to Him. To this great day, when love and peace shall reign in the hearts of Thy children, we confidently look forward knowing that Thou art able to do it, being Almighty God, and willing also, being a Faithful Father, whose love never fails. In the richness of Thy love, we beseech Thee, bind out1 hearts together tonight in this household of faith-—those worshipping Thee in Thy house, our shut-ins who wait for Thy healing touch, our children asleep in angelic hope, our soldier boys scattered as sentinels in the night, and those who for one reason or another could not be with us. Consecrate us anew in the beloved community of Christ our Lord to whom be glory and honor world without end. Amen. A halottak nem beszélnek Irta: Krizsik Alajos "Akik méltókká tétetnek, hogy ama világot elvegyék, és a halálból való feltámadást, meg sem halhatnak többé; mert hasonlók az angyalokhoz; és az Isten fiai, mivelhogy a feltámadásnak fiai. Az Isten pedig nem a halottaknak, hanem az élőknek Istene: mert mindenek élnek Önéki.” A teremtő bölcsességének köszönhető, hogy a halottak nem beszélnek, mert ha beszélnének, sok olyat találnának elfecsegni, ami az élőkre kellemetlen volna. A halott ember elvált a földi élet salakjától, megtisztulva a földi élet gyarlóságaitól, bűneitől. Nem hevítik földi hiúságok, földi múlandóságok, nagyravá-Luk. 20. - 35, 36, 38. gyások, bosszuállások, irigységek, cifraságok, jó enni és inni valók. Bevégezte sokszor szörnyű, sokszor lehetetlen, sokszor kegyetlen, sokszor szenvedéssel telt, kevésszer szép, kevésszer erényes és még kevesebbszer hasznos életét. Nem érdeklik már, hogy mit cselekszenek az utódok, miképpen élik le sokszor
