H Zebra stables, detail BFL XV.17.d.328 KT szor 1/88-6 The Zebra Stables were completed in 1912., the quantity drawings are dated August 1912. Planning permission drawings signed by Gyula Végh are dated 1914. The roof of the building burned down in 1919. The roof was reconstructed in 1920 and the building renovated in 1930 and finally altered for use by the kangaroos in 1932. A new Kangaroo House was constructed in 1991 using the original walls. Today the building houses the collection of venomous snakes. The Camel Stables were designed in 1910 and today the Savanna House stands in place of this simple buil­ding. The Eagle Aviary was constructed alongside the railway perimeter in 1910. The building was reconstructed generally corresponding to its original silhouette to become the present-day South American House. Among the smaller pavilions the small sweet and refreshment kiosks were completed.
