Bevezetés
deal of articles and reports published in the local press of Pécs on national or other awards which were not founded locally. The reports on local collectors and collections received a separate chapter, since it was thematically not possible to include them elsewhere. Similarly, we devoted a separate chapter to the literature related to counterfeiting. The more than 400 items report on counterfeiting committed not only in Baranya, but we included here the articles reporting on the emergence of counterfeits, detentions and penal processes in the region. The exact register of the releases and publications by the Pécs-Baranya collectors' club, changing its name regularly, is included in a separate chapter. The majority of the items are mediator lists, but there are also some articles and catalogue-like publications. The continuous numbering of these periodicals supports the series character of the publications, which were prepared for the same circle of collectors. In the beginning they were simple photocopies, later they became typographical products. Some booklets, where a question mark is indicated instead of the proper date of publication, were unfortunately not available in original any more. The last chapter contains the so-called 'miscellaneous', which covers practically everything that is not related to any of the topics. Here we mentioned the series of catalogues of the Pécs Statuette Biannual, which contain medals. Yet, we ignored the press material related to the biannual, since it hardy has any numismatic aspects. The bibliography is equipped with an index of names of persons and localities. We adapted both the authors and the persons mentioned. The names, which were already mentioned at the articles, were included in the index even if they were originally spelt incorrectly, since the ending of names with 'i' or 'y' is often confusing. In the index we strove for a correct spelling and the misspelt names or varieties were referred, with the remark "see at", to the correct versions. The case was similar with archaistic names of localities. Divergent from the modern official names of localities we adapted the place-names of the disannexed Baranyavár district in original form, since the majority of the numis-
