In the third chapter the reader is offered a list of prizemedals including the most important biographical data of the historical personalities (Zsuzsanna Kossuth, Sándor Doktor, Endre Steinmetz) whose names are found on the medals. The conditions and aims of awarding the prizes are also referred to. The fourth chapter lists commemorative medals issued on the occasion of various congresses, symposiums and meetings. The wide range of topics chosen can very well be seen in the illustration. In the fifth chapter commemorative medals of hospitals, medical and veterinary technical schools are described with reference to particulars of the name-giving personalities. The sixth chapter gives a description of all the numismatical relics having anything to do with health care, not listed in the previous five chapters. The presented 105 medals, plaquettes and badges - 69 of which are illustrated - carry lots of interesting and invaluable information, which makes the author hope that this work will prove useful for readers interested not only in numismatics but the history of medicine, local history and documentary data as well.
