Rev.: Club in the middle, with die legend MAKEAONL2N above and ko re below; widi PÍ2THE initials at the bottom and illegible initials at die top. cf. BMC Macedonia p. 8/8 158—146 B.C., cf. Grose 3708 The coin is worn, probably due to the closeness of the handle soldered on later. Traces of later engraving on die Obv. 2. Thracia, Thasos tctradrachm Obv.: The ehad of the young Dionysos, with a wreath of vine leaves r. Rev.:HPAKAEOWX #rf IÍ2THPOI 0AIIÍ2N legend, Heracles stand­ing turned to the left, = 1. holding club in his right hand and with a lion skin hanging down from his left hand. In die left field, die letter M appears. cf. BMC Thraci 72 (p. 222), cf. Grose 4206, II—Ic B.C. The illustration and the outiine of die letters were parti y engraved later, on Obv. and Rev. 3. Thracia, Thasos tctradrachm, sec above The Obv. and the Rev. arc identical with diose of the previous coin. Only traces of the letter "M" can be detected in die left field of die Rev. Hcraclcs's head and attire were engraved later. Small holes, traces of casting between the letters. 4. Macedonia, tctradrachm, see the descrip­tion of No. 1. Rev.: monogram at die top 5. Macedonia, tctradrachm, see die legend of No. 1. Made in the same mould as No. 4. Obv.: The head and die hair are chiselled. Rev.: Cast bubbles can be detected. 8. Thracia, Thasos tctradrachm, sec die legend of No. 2. Obv.: The head and the chin arc chiselled. Rev.: The letter "H" in die left field, and an incomprehensible legend in the field: AZIV. A cut at die foot of Heracles. The figure and the letters were rc-cngraved later. cf. BMC Thracia 87 (p. 223), II—I c. B.C. 9. Macedonia, tctradrachm, sec the legend of No. 1. Made in the same mould as Nos. 4 and 7. Obv.: The hair was engraved later. Rev.: Cast bubbles. 10. Thracia, Thasos tctradrachm, see die legend of No. 2. Made in the same mould as Nos. 3, 5, and 6. Rev.: Cast bubbles can be seen, the left field is damaged.
