Hadrian denarius Obv.: (IMP CAES/AR TRA/IA/N HADRIANVS AVGthc head of the emperor r., widi laurel wreatii —the wreath is re-en­graved Rev.: Woman seated 1., holding a globct?) cornucopia and, with a rc-engraved legend around: ... VP ... COS/VP; Instead of the faded letters, die picture is surrounded by 6 © mod Is. Approx. at the edge there are grooves, engraved later, to mark the edge of die coin. cf. BMC HI. pl.50,6 = BMC No. 165, Rome, years 119—138 14. Vespasian denarius Obv.: IMP CAESAR VESP die rest of die enclosing legend is faded; the head of die emperor, with laurel wreath r.; 3 © motifs en­graved above the letters; an en­grved circular line below diem. Rev.: Woman in a long dress standing 1., holding a cornucopia in her left hand and a prow in her right hand. Traces of enclosing legend ...ORT RED. The illustration was engraved later, the letters were not. cf. Coh 81—84, about the front cf. BMC 11.373 or 381, Rev. cf. BMC II.pl.12, 17 or 13, 3, 70 or 71 A.D. 15. Vespasian denarius, see the legend of No. 14 Made in the same mould as No. 14. 16. Vespasian denarius, see the legend of Nos. 14 and 15. 17. Consianíius II siliqua Obv.: DN CONSTAN-TIVS PF AVG; the bust of the emperor pearl di­adem cuirassed, droped r. The hair and attire show traces of later engraving. Rev.: VOTIS/XXX/MVLTIS/XXXX in a wreathm die mint mark cannot be seen. The wreath is definitely re-engraved. cf. Coh 337, this type was made in die years 347—361 in a different mint. 18. Vespasian denarius, see the legend of No. 14 Made in die same mould as Nos. 14, 15 and 16. Rev.: The beginning of the enclosing legend is replaced by 5 small, en­graved circles. 19. Vespasian denarius, see the description of No. 14 Made in die same mould as Nos. 14, 16 and 18. 20. Domitian, aureus Obv.: ...DOMITIA...; the head of die emperor, with laurel wreath r. The ribbon of the wreath is re-en­graved, damaging the beginning of the enclosing legend. Rev.: Athena Promachos standing on prow, and the legend to the right, illegible.
