reports on the excavation mention at least graves - though the exact number of the graves can not be stated. Out of the osteological material of the 108 graves that of only 83 graves was suitable for measurements (50 males, 32 females, 1 inf.II.), the material of 25 graves was unsuitable for measurements (6 males, 13 females, 6 juveniles ).The relation of age, sex and preservation is given in Table I . Absolute measurements of the crania have been taken by MARTIN (1928), that of the long bones by ALEXEYEV (1966). The classification of the absolute measurements and indices has been made on the basis of ALEXEYEVDEBETS ' s categories (l964).Body height has been calculated after BREITINGER (1937) in the males and after BACH (1965) in the females. The categorization of stature values has been made after MARTIN (1928). In establishing age at the time of death as well as determining sex the morphological method has been used (PARKAS ,1972). Taxonomic analysis has been based on LIPTÁK' s (1969 ) and TÓTH' s (1962, 1963, 1967) methods.
