COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS For a comparative analysis of the material under study, I head recourse to the skeletal remains and the mean values of the main measurements and indices, respectively, of those excavated and published from the area between the Danube and the Tisza, and beyond this latter wiver, namely Szentes-Kaján ( WENGER 1955), Tiszaderzs (LEBZELTER 1957), Aporkaiürbőpuszta (LIPTÁK 195D, Jánoshida-Boldogháza ( WENGER 1953), Kecel I. (LIPTÁK 1954), Üllő I. - Üllő II. (LIPTÁK 1955), Alattyán-Tulát (WENGER 1952, 1957), Homokmégy-Halom (LIPTÁK 1957a), Adorján (BARTUCZFARKAS 1957), Tiszavárkony (LIPTÁK 1957b), Váchartyán (BÁTAI 1952), Ártánd (K. ÉRY 1966), "Fehértó A" (LIPTÁK-VÁMOS 1969), Szegsd-Kundomb (LIPTÁK-B. MARCSIK 1966), from the Avar Period, further Hódmezővásárhely-Fehértcpart (BARTUCZ 1961), SzentesKistőke (BARTUCZ 1961), from the Jazigian-Sarmatian Period, and based of FIRSKTEIN's (in: TÓTH, T.A. - FIRSHTEIN 1970) data, of the Azov area, the Lower Volga region, Saratov, and the South Ural group from the Sarmatian Period in the Soviet Union. The morphometric data of these series are summarized In Tables :C'VIII-ZXXVII . To complement also my earlier publications and data ('WENGER 19 7 2), I based the comparative analysis on the correlational topography (Figs. 1-8) of the main morphological characteristics - maximum cranial breadth - bizygomatic breadth;
