upper facial height - bizygomatic breadth; upper facial height - orbital index; nasal index - orbital index - of the male and female series excavated and published in Hungary from Artaud, "Fehértó A", Szeged-Kundomb from the Avar Period, from Hódmez ővásárhely-Fehértópart and Szentes-Kistőke from the JazigianSarmatian Period, a3 well as those in the Soviet Union from the Azov Area, the Lower Volga region, Saratov and the South Ural group from the Sarmatian Period, Analysing the character-correlations given above, it can has stated that, as far as the male series are concerned, the osteological material from Tiszavasvár strikingly deviates, according to the correlation of the cranial breadth and the bizygomatic breadth, from the remains published earlier from beyond the Tisza and the area between the Danube and the Tisza, while it shows a nearness to those from Szentes-Kistőke, the South Ural group, Artand, Saratov, the Lower Volga region, and the Azov area. As regards the upper facial height and. the bizygomatic breadth, there appeared a comparative deviation from the other male series also in our earlier investigations, while the present"material shows a morphological nearness also in this case with the material from Szentes-Kistőke, the South Ural Group, Artand, the Saratov group, the Lower Volga region, and the Azov area. Concerning the upper facial height and the orbital index, the crania of our male series reveal a relative morphological nearness with the material from Homokmégy-Halom, Tiszavárkony, Üllő I. from the Avar Period and from Szentes-Kistőke from the Jazigian Sarmatian Period. With regard to the correlation of the nasal index and the orbital index, besides the series from Adorján, Üllő I., Tiszavárkony, and Homokmégy-Halom, the one again from Szentes-Kistőke among the finds from the Sarmatian Period stand nearest to the present material under discussion (Pigs. 1-4.). Lacking the respective data of the orbita, th ? Azov area group could not be demonstrated in two cases.(Pig. 3-4.). To characterizing the female series,it can be established that, according to the correlation of the morphometric data of the
