Food and drinks will be served and the Arpad Nagy orchestra will play for the dancing. Members are urged to bring guests to this outing. CHICAGO BOWLER LOVES THUNDERBOWL LANES Pearl Juhasz, member of Team No. 132, bowling as William Penn Branch 15, Chicago, Illinois, put on- William Penn spectacular show for the spectators. Her regulap season average was 137, however, in this tournament during the Team, Events she bowled 187-224- 211 for a 622 Actual. Congratulations! Her team finished second place. OAQ SAINT LOUIS, lAjü Missouri Ernest L. Könnyű, a recipient of an Air Force scholarship, graduated from Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, June 11, 1965. He will join the Finance Division of the USAF as a 2d lieutenant and his first station will be at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Kontiyu, both members of Branch 209. TOASTMASTER OF THAT MEMORABLE EVENING Rev. Andrew D. Jacobs, Pastor of the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Detroit, Michigan, and member of Br. 56, demonstrated once again his skill in handling a large dinner audience. When he called for order even a pin dropped to the floor could be heard. His brief resume of the highlights of the William Penn Fraternal Association was very well received. Congratulations, Father Jacobs, for a task well handled. CERTIFICATE OF AUDIT The books and accounts of the William Penn Fraternal Association were audited and examined for the six months beginning the 1st day of July, 1964, and ending on the 31st day of December, 1964, and we do hereby certify to the accuracy of the financial schedules and exhibits for the above-mentioned period as stated in the published reports of the William Penn Fraternal Association. All income items were thoroughly examined. The individual branch treasury slips received from branch managers and district offices, showing total branch remittances, were checked against those amounts officially tabulated in the dues ledger; rental income from Home Office Building and the parking lots was checked and verified; profit or loss on sold and called bonds was verified along with dividends received on miscellaneous stocks; all interest received from bonds and mortgage loans was checked against bank deposit slips; then, too, each deposit was checked against the bank statement and reconciliation of all bank accounts was obtained. Our Bond Portfolio showed a valuation of $24,609,332.89 while our Stocks were valued at $1,924,193.08 as of December 31, 1964. Furthermore, those papers dealing with many of the items shown above were checked together with the necessary ledgers and books of account and verification was obtained to our entire satisfaction. Considerable time and effort were devoted to the examination of the expenditures made by our Association in the various departments and listed under the headings of: Official Publication, Advertising, Sick Benefit, Commissions and Salaries, Dividends, Loans and Trust Fund, Death Benefit Claims, Investment Expenses, Petty Cash Payments, Traveling Expenses, Mise. Office Expenses and other miscellaneous expenses. In the examination of these items, each individual check disbursed was accounted for, and necessary supporting papers and vouchers were most carefully scrutinized. We are pleased to report that our examination disclosed a continued, favorable improvement in the operations of our Association. Furthermore, the co-operation evidenced amongst the members of the Board, and the Officers, at the Home Office, was excellent.
