The Home Office has accepted his resignation. To re­place him the Home Office has ap­pointed Mr. Andrew Vámos as Dis­trict Manager and Manager of the Branch. AT CLEVELAND, Ohio OFFICIAL NOTICE It was resolved at the April Branch meeting that, because of the National Tournament and Fellow­ship Days in New York, the regular Branch 45 monthly meeting be moved to the second Sunday of the month, JUNE 9, 1963 in the usual place and at the usual time (West 98 and Denison, 2:30 p.m.). After the regular monthly meeting Pre- Convention District meeting will be held for the purpose of electing two delegates to the September Conven­tion. All members are urged to at­tend. Kovach, Brother of our Branch Manager William Kovach is pictured below. Alexander, for many years an active member of Branch 159, is a candidate for Ches­ter County Commissioner on the Democratic ticket. Primary elections will be held May 21, 1963. In ad­dition to himself his four children are also members of the Branch. Due to lack of space we are unable to list a resume of Mr. Kovach’s civic, political, labor and church ac­tivities, let it suffice to state that all his available time is spent in furthering fraternalism. He deserves our membership’s support in the coming primaries. PASSAIC, New Jersey' OFFICIAL NOTICE In lieu of all other notices, this is to inform the Adult members of Branch 51, Passaic, N. J. that the Pre-Convention District meeting for the purpose of electing Convention delegates will be held Sunday, June 23, 1963 beginning at 3 p.m. in Wos Hall, 82 President St., Passaic, N. I. All members interested in the District Meeting should appear promptly. The Annual Picnic of the Branch will be held Sunday, June 9, 1963 at the Garfield Hungarian Citizens Club. The Committee is arranging a wonderful program for the enjoy­ment of all who attend. Branch 51 is conducting a tour to Europe. All those members interested in visit­ing friends or relatives in Hungary, Rumania or Czechoslovakia should contact District Manager Andrew Rinko at the Passaic District Of­fice, 212 Dayton Ave., for full de­tails. Branch Manager LORAIN, 00 Ohio Death has taken from among us our faithful Branch Manager, an Illustrious Member of this Associa­tion, JOSEPH SZABÓ, who for many years fulfilled the arduous duties of Lodge Secretary and Branch Manager. Mr. Szabó was born in Hungary Jan. 9, 1886 and was a valued employee of Cleveland Quarries from where he retired 7 years ago. He is survived by his widow neé Helen Bistei, they would have celebrated their Golden Wed­ding Anniversary in May 1963. Also three sons: Joseph, Jr., John, both of Amherst and Stephen of Aurora, 111. 3 daughters, Mrs. Mary Kovach, Amherst, Mrs. Elizabeth Groot and Mrs. Anna Mulica both of Amherst, also surviving are 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, four brothers and a sister.
