VOL. XLVI. APRIL 17, 1963 NUMBER 8. FELLOWSHIP DAYS NEARING National Tournament June 1 and 2 New York City As already reported in these pages, our Association will conduct the XX-th National Bowling Tournament and Fellowship Days in New York City, entertainment capitol of the world. These important events in the life of our Association were scheduled for New York because during this year the former Rákóczi would have celebrated the 75th anniversary of its founding and the majority of former Rákóczi members reside in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, thus the entire William Penn membership is well represented in the East and for this reason it was deemed advisable to go to New York with this year’s fraternal activities. 1963 has been declared to be RÁKÓCZI YEAR bv President Macker and the Board of Directors. Our midwest members, therefore will be heading East to join with all of us in memorializing the event of the founding of the Rákóczi. During our Fellowship Days we will pay homage to the memory of the original 18 founders who never in their wildest dreams would have dared imagine that seventy-five years after they clasped hands to organize the Rákóczi, their descendants, as members of the WILLIAM PENN FRATERNAL ASSOCIATION, would be gatheringin large numbers for a National celebration. There will be two points of interest in connection with these events: one the Imperial Lanes and the other the COMMODORE HOTEL. HEADQUARTERS — COMMODORE HOTEL The 20th National Fellowship Days events promise to be record shattering and memorable. Bridgeport, New York, Passaic, New Brunswick, Trenton, Philadelphia and other Eastern William Penn Branches are solidly behind the success of this great event (Continued on Page 2) OFFICIAL NOTICE “It is resolved by the Board of Directors in regular semiannual meeting assembled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this 26th day of March, 1963 that pre-convention District Session Meetings, for the purpose of electing delegates and alternates to the XXV-th Convention shall be held between JUNE 1,1963 and JUNE 30, 1963.
