On the Island, the branch 18 “Bob-Lo Committee” has planned many pleasant surprises. There will be games and contests for the children, of all ages, with prizes for winners. Adult entertainment will consist of many surprises, also, with a .gypsy band sailing with the William Penn members and Hungarian folk songs by District Manager Andrew Vince. The Ladies’ Auxiliary will furnish the group with 1 home-made Hungarian pastries. There will be freshly cooked debreceni sausages, footlong hot dogs for the kiddies, etc. Picnic Area 1 has been reserved for the William Penn Fraternal Association. Nearby is the dance pavilion which holds 3,000 people — in case of rain — and numerous smaller shelters. There is a grandstand in this area to watch the youngsters perform in their games and contests, a huge fireplace to cook the sausages, and coffee. The amusement park is nearby, and the reserved area is straight off the boat to the right of the dock. There will be arrows pointing to the William Penn site so no one will lose time settling down with their families and friends. Those members who have citizenship papers or are not native-born Americans can make the trip to Bob- Lo Island without obligation, and we hereby extend a welcome to our many William Penn members who reside in Canada to join us on this very wonderful all day outing. And to let you know who will be working to make this the most impressive social event in the history pf the branch — please note — Branch president and Director Stephen Danko, as organizational head; District Manager Andrew Vince and Controller Jolán Lucas as Co-Chairmen; Kitchen Committee, Mr. and Mrs. John Veszprémi (Margaret is Ladies’ Auxiliary president); Bar Chairman, Controller Géza Madarász (auditor for Sports Club); Adult and children’s program Chairmen, ■Airs.
