FLOOD CITY NEWS BRANCH 8-V JOHNSTOWN, PA. By: Stephen Petruska and Joseph Madarasz, Jr. The William Penn Branch 8 -V Bowling League held its Electoral Meeting September 21 at the Capital Bowling Lanes. Twenty members were present, Michael Duray past President was re-elected for the 57-58 season, Anthony Karwosky, Vice-President, Miss Caroline Hegedűs Secretary and Stephen Petruska, Jr. Branch Manager as Treasurer. President Duray suggested that a kitty should be set up, this suggestion was accepted by all present, each team Captain would keep account of their respective players, the money then would be turned over to the Treasurer, these monies to be used for the bowlers expenses. The Bowling League welcomes four new members, Joseph Király, Harry Way, Francis Karmanosky and Mike Karmanosky, Jr., replacements for those that will not be with us this coming season. September 5, 1957 has been a memorable occasion for two of our young lady members; Miss Ethel Dolores Karmanocky received her Diploma of Nursing and Mrs. Phylis Bifano Stasko her Diploma of Medical Technologists, at the St. Joseph Cath.
