Branch News get better. I just don't know when. Great story. Happy June birthday to all our wonderful members, especially Vice Chair of the Board Anne Marie Schmidt, National Director Richard Sarosi, and Home Office employees Kerri Kramer and Debbie Evans. Special wishes to Joe Gall and, last but not least, Abbie (who turns two). Many happy wishes to all of you. Get well wishes to Carol and Doug Truesdell, Tom Kerek, George and Doris Schvarckopf, Eleanor Kender, Beata Császár, Joe Csereklye, Ursula Markovits and Albert Frate. That list is much too long. Wishing all good health very soon. Special condolences to all our members and their families who have lost a loved one, especially the family of Michele Daley-LaFlame, president of Branch 249 Dayton, Ohio. Our sympathy to her husband Steve and son John Paul. Please also remember recently departed branch members Anna Sabo and Eleanor Nagy. May they all rest in peace. Those of you interested in the 2018 White Rose Ball can call Linda Enyedy for more information. Her number is 248-352-0927. (The number listed last month was incorrect.) Next year marks the ball's 60th anniversary. It takes a village for it to run smoothly. Hope you plan on attending. You will love it. Happy two-month vacation to Joe and Wanda Gall. What a great way to see the USA. Happy Father's Day to all our wonderful fathers. Mine truly was the best. Abbie sends special love to her dad, Tom. Make sure you call or spend time with your dad. Time truly flies. Nothing is better than great memories. Our branch's Charity-of-the- Month was won by Ursula Markovits, who chose Paragon Support System, and Julia "Judy" Schonek, who chose Michigan Animal Rescue. My thought for the month: "May your homes be blessed with compassionate hearts, seeing the best in everyone. May the garden of your heart bloom with kind acts, giving your life the gift of divine purpose." Branch 28 Youngstown, OH by Kathy Novak Finally, summer has arrived! Time for outdoor fun and festivals. Schools are out of session, so be extra careful while out and about as more children will be outdoors. June brings with it two holidays of note. Flag Day, June 14, is a day to honor the flag of the United States. Show your patriotism by displaying it. We also celebrate Father's Day on June 18. Remember to honor and show your love to your father on his special day, whether he is still with you or in his well-deserved Heavenly home. Best wishes to all our members graduating from high school or college. As always, WPA did a wonderful job hosting the annual bowling tournament. Those in attendance experienced a fun-filled morning of bowling and visiting with each other, Then a great meal was enjoyed by the bowlers and other attendees. Branch 28 member Sándor Tollas spent his 60th birthday at this event and even got to spend some time at the Meadows, too.
