Branch 15 Chicago, IL by Terejiza Corba Branch 15 hopes everyone enjoyed a Merry Christmas and wishes all the best in the new year. We thank WPA for the financial support which allowed us to celebrate the holidays in the company of our fellow branch members. The Chicago weather was very friendly to us during our branch Christmas party, and we didn't have any hassles with traveling and parking. Our celebration was held at St. Luke's Evangelical Covenant Church in Morton Grove. The ladies of Branch 15 prepared a delicious lunch and desserts. Special thanks to Sunny, Edith, Anna and all those who helped. Unfortunately, Santa cancelled his appearance at the last minute, but the children still received their gifts and enjoyed playing together. A special thanks to all those involved in planning and conducting the WPA 38th General Convention. Our delegates had a wonderful time. Boldog Új Évet Kívánunk minden tagunknak! Our annual trip to Europe is coming along nicely. I hope you are planning to join us. We have so many surprises and new things planned for you to see. As usual, I can't wait to see you. You will soon see registration forms for our bowling and golf tournaments. Now is a great time to plan your teams. For bowling, we will again be at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino on April 29 and 30. Our golf will be held July 15 and 16 at Quicksilver Golf Club in Midway, Pa. Everyone sure likes that course, and their staff is so helpful and courteous to all our participants. After golf, the next event will be the Hungarian Heritage Experience, followed by the WPA Picnic-A Great Fraternal Fest. We are busily scouting potential locations for both. Watch upcoming issues of William Penn Life for more information. Branch 18 will honor our 50-year members June 12 at the P.R.C.U. hall in Wyandotte.
