Branch 26 Sharon, PA by Gerry Davenport We held our branch Christmas party Nov. 30 at King's Restaurant. Everyone had a great time, especially when Santa gave out presents. Special thanks go to the Home Office for its generous financial help and for the items for the treat bags. Once again, our branch participated in the Holiday Basket program by donating gift cards to the needy and by collecting food for the Community Food Bank. We hope you and your family enjoyed a blessed Christmas, and we wish you a happy, healthy new year. Branch 28 Youngstown, OH by Kathy Novak Hoping everyone had a wonderful Christmas season and that all will have a happy and healthy new year. Since the Branch 28 family Christmas party took place on Dec. 14, details about the party will appear in our next branch report. Sunday, Dec. 8, proved to be a nice day for all those attending the open house at the Nationality Rooms of the University of Pittsburgh. The rooms looked lovely, and the great hall had wonderful entertainment all afternoon. Attendees could snack their way from country to country, sampling many varieties of food. The Hungarian table served sweets. Hungarian Room Committee Chair Kati Csornán did a great job arranging things for the day. We enjoyed the afternoon very much, meeting the many people stopping at our table. Hats off to the Cleveland Hungarian Scouts on their 40th anniversary. The gala gathering and performance were outstanding. The dedication and enthusiasm shown by the performers were fabulous. Wishes for happy days are extended to all those celebrating a birthday or anniversary this month. Get well wishes go to all those not feeling up to par, especially Arlene Csornán, Cassie Holmes and Mary Foor. We are sorry to report that the annual Thanksgiving vesper services were cancelled due to inclement weather. Our deepest sympathy is extended to all those having lost a loved one recently.
