Minutes of the 37th General Convention 18. Official And Travel Per Diems Resolution / Adopted. THE 37TH GENERAL CONVENTION IN REGU­LAR SESSION RESOLVES THAT FOR THE ENSUING FOUR YEAR TERM, THE OFFICIAL PER DIEM SHALL BE $350.00 PER DAY. IN ADDITION, THOSE ON OF­FICIAL BUSINESS FOR THE ASSOCIATION SHALL BE ENTITLED TO A $350.00 TRAVEL PER DIEM PLUS MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT AS ALLOWED BY THE IRS (CURRENTLY .555 CENTS PER MILE), FOR THOSE TRAVELING 100 MILES OR MORE, ONE WAY, FROM PERMANENT PLACE OF RESIDENCE TO PITTSBURGH AND $350.00 PLUS MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT AS AL­LOWED BY THE IRS FOR RETURN FROM PITTSBURGH TO RESIDENCE. FOR THOSE TRAVELING LESS THAN 100 MILES ONE WAY, THEY SHALL BE ENTITLED TO A $175.00 TRAVEL PER DIEM PLUS MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT AS ALLOWED BY THE IRS COMING TO PITTSBURGH AND $175.00 PLUS MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT AS ALLOWED BY THE IRS RETURNING HOME. ANY DIRECTOR WHO STAYS AT THE DESIGNATED HOTEL FOR ANY BOARD / COMMITTEE MEETING SHALL BE ENTITLED TO $100.00 PER DAY FOR EACH NIGHT AT THE HOTEL. Robert A. Ivancso raised a question on the per diems received by a Director. MOVED BY CHARLES S. JOHNS, SECONDED BY CATHARINE E. RYAN AND THE DELEGATES OF THE 37TH GENERAL CONVENTION ADOPTED THE OFFI­CIAL AND TRAVEL PER DIEMS RESOLUTION. Robert A. Ivancso opposed the Resolution. 19. Chairman of the Nominating Committee / Report Submitted. Chair of the Convention House called upon William J. Bero, Chairman of the Nominating Committee for the Nominating Committee report. Chairman Bero introduced the members of the Nominating Committee: William J. Bero, Chairman George S. Charles, Jr., Vice Chairman E. E. (Al) Vargo Laslo Corba Frank Schauer Michael F. Tomcsak Gary G. Vámos Chairman Bero submitted the Report of the Nominat­ing Committee. The Nominating Committee met on two separate occasions on September 4, 2011 to interview all candidates who wish to run for Director or Alternate Director. Following these interviews, the Nominating Committee entered into a thorough discussion regarding the candidates interviewed. The Nominating Committee recommends to the 37th General Convention, the follow­ing (10) candidates for National Directors. William J. Bero Dennis A. Chobody Barbara A. House Nickolas M. Kotik Andrew W. McNelis Roger G. Nagy Katherine E. Novak James W. Robertson Richard E. Sarosi Anne Marie Schmidt Chair of the Convention House asked the (10) candi­dates nominated for National Directors to stand and do they accept their nomination. All answered in the affirma­tive. 20. Nominating Committee Report / Accepted. MOVED BY GEORGE S. CHARLES, JR., SECONDED BY GARY G. VÁMOS AND THE DELEGATES OF THE 37TH GENERAL CONVENTION ACCEPTED THE RE­PORT OF THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE. 21. Nominations for National Directors. Chair of the Convention House asked for nominations from the con­vention floor for National Directors. The following names were nominated: Stephen J. Ivancso, Jr. Stephen J. Ivancso III Madeleine K. Butler Michele Daley-LaFlame Chair of the Convention House asked the (4) candidates nominated from the Convention floor for National Direc­tors to stand and do they accept their nomination. All answered in the affirmative. 22. Nominations for National Directors / Closed. Chair of the Convention House requested (3) times if there were any further nominations from the floor for National Directors. There being none, nominations were closed for National Directors. MOVED BY CHARLES S. JOHNS, SECONDED BY MI­CHAEL F. TOMCSAK AND THE DELEGATES OF THE 37TH GENERAL CONVENTION CLOSED THE NOMI­NATIONS FOR NATIONAL DIRECTORS. 23. Official Greetings / Read. Richard W. Toth acknowl­edged and read the official greetings to the 37th General Convention from the following: President Barack Obama from the White House in Washington, D.C. Robert P.
