Branch News LEFT: Daniel and Anna Cermak enjoy their favorite pastime-bowling-during the Christmas party hosted by Branches 10, 40, 248, 349 and 8/64. President Radvany extended sincere congratulations to two members of Branch 13--Michael Gordon and Thomas Radvany—and all WPA members who received scholarship awards. He also introduced Michael's brother, Andrew Gordon. Andrew received WPA scholarship grants while attending the University of Pittsburgh. Andrew graduated with honors with a degree in electrical engineering and is employed by the Eaton Corp. Michael Gordon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gordon and is a senior at Syracuse University. Thomas Radvany is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Radvany 11, and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Radvany, Ed.D., and is attending Penn State University. The family Christmas party commenced with a delicious buffet which included the traditional kolbász and head cheese, stuffed cabbage, pastries and refreshments. Our sincere thanks are extended to Margo and Anthony Beke, Olga and John Radvany and Elsie Radvany for the fine effort they put forth in arranging and preparing for the party. Following the luncheon, door prizes were distributed along with WPA goodie bags filled with candy, cookies, nuts and items supplied by the Home Office. Everyone received a WPA calendar. Our sincere thanks and appreciation is extended to the Home Office for the generous subsidy for our party. President Radvany extended Christmas greetings on behalf of the Board of Directors, National Officers and members of Branch 13. Branch 14 Cleveland, OH by Dawn D. Ward The annual children's Christmas party was another success. About 115 children and their families attended. Several of the parents recalled attending the branch Christmas party as children, and so the tradition continues. Santa Claus bore a striking resemblance to member Richard Jacob, and his elf bore a striking resemblance to member Nancy Borisz. The elf's helpers, Elizabeth Dungan and Rosemarie Borisz assisted in handing the gifts to Santa. Sparkles the Clown did face and arm painting Mark your calendars now!
