Baldyga Our family Christmas party was held on Dec. 6 at the American-Hungarian Club in Garfield, N.J. Patrick the Magician entertained the children, parents and grandparents. Many of the children participated in the show and were amazed at the magic. Christmas carols were sung and Santa Claus arrived. Santa spoke with each child and gave each a gift. The children really enjoyed the yoyos provided by the Home Office. Refreshments were served, and the afternoon was enjoyed by all. We thank everyone who helped make the party a success, especially the WPA Board of Directors and the Home Office for their financial assistance. Their visit was covered by The Alliance Review, and the children were very excited. We had 85 children attend our party. The ladies auxiliary provided food and cookies for all. The party also featured the Balloon Family with their magic act and a balloon for everyone. Santa distributed to the children gifts and treat bags provided by the Home Office. Our party was a great success, and we hope to host many more. The club is in the process of getting a much-needed walk-in cooler.
