Branch News Branch 28 members Austin Schauer (front, left) and Travis Schauer (front, right) show off their first bucks with their proud fathers, Randy and James Schauer. Hall. We enjoyed a catered lunch and side dishes and desserts brought by many members and guests. Santa came and gave gifts to the children and visited with each child. There were 17 children and 40 adults who enjoyed the festive time. After the party, we held a meeting and reelected our branch officers for another term: the Rev. J. Bodnar, president; Joseph A. Bodnar, vice president; Evelyn B. Bodnar, secretary-treasurer; and Bert Suldo and Jennifer Orlick, auditors. If you have any questions about your current insurance or annuity policies, or would like information Branch 28 member Byrce Schauer recently claimed his first buck. about WPA insurance and annuity plans, please call Branch Coordinator Evelyn Bodnar at 732-873-1158. Branch 19 wishes everyone a happy, healthy new year. Branch 28 Youngstown, OH by Kathy Novak Happy 2010! Hoping everyone had a wonderful Christmas season and all will have a happy and healthy new year. Once again, with the assistance and gifts from the Home Office, Branch 28 was able to host another successful and enjoyable family Christmas party. All in attendance were entertained by Andrew Check, the Aut Mori Clowns (a local charitable organization), lead singer Evie Byers and, of course, Santa Claus (John Tollas Sr.) After having a luncheon from our abundant buffet, Santa arrived and mingled before helping draw the winners of our holiday scholarship raffle. The lucky winners were: Teresa Hentosh ($100), Dan Cene ($75) and Nikki Szabó ($50). Other prizes were claimed by National Director Barbara House, John Morey, Rita Simon, Art Szőke, Evie Byers, Hailey Brauer, Nicole Cene and Frank Tobias. A big thank you to everyone who supported this annual fund raiser. Santa then let each child spend some time with him telling him their wish list. With the help of his elves, Santa gave gifts to each child. I would venture to say everyone enjoyed an afternoon shared in the WPA fraternal spirit. The officers wish to thank everyone who helped in any way to make this event go so smoothly. Following the party a brief branch meeting was held to elect the 2010 branch officers. Elected were: Steve Novak, president; Frank Schauer, vice president; Kathy Novak, secretary-treasurer; and Mary Schauer and Maria Goda, auditors. With hunting season in force during November and December, the Schauer boys were out in pursuit of a nice catch. And, as luck would have it, Travis, Austin and Bryce all got their first catch. The boys and their fathers were all very excited. Happy days are extended to all those having a birthday or anniversary this month. Our deepest sympathy is extended to all those having lost a loved one recently. For your life insurance and annuity needs, please call Kathy at 330-746-7704 or Alan at 330-482- 9994.
