Branch News hearts. Now, think Fraternal Fest. We will have a bus going to our wonderful Hungarian picnic on Sept. 9, returning on Sept. 10. The final cost to WPA members, including insurance, is $86. We will stop on the way in Somerset, Pa., and visit the site where Flight 93 went down on 9-11. We haven't been there in a couple of years, and this time we will have some first-timers with us. This trip includes transportation, a lovely hotel room for one night and your food, drink and admission to the picnic. Please call me and send your $86 immediately to insure your spot with us. Our next trip is in November. It will be an overnight trip to the Soaring Eagle in Mount Pleasant. This also will cost members only $86, insurance included. We are now busily preparing for our annual Branch 18 picnic at Gregory Park in Lincoln Park on July 31. Invitations are in the mail. If you don't receive one, you may still R.S.V.P. me at anytime. Hope you are planning on attending. The picnic runs from noon to 6:00 p.m. Children's games begin at 1:30 p.m. Please bring a dessert to pass, something finger and picnic friendly. As always, feel free to bring a guest. There will be live music, szalonna, kolbász sandwiches, hot dogs, snow cones, cotton candy, lemonade, popcorn and much more. Get well wishes to Liz Piwowarski, Liz Varga, A1 Wansa and all our ailing members. Get well soon. Congrats to Joan and Mike on their new grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. I know nothing makes you happier. Hope you're feeling better, Joan. I know you're really fighting the good fight. Thank you, Mary Jane Svitchan and Frank Zito, for your wonderful, unselfish donation. You are special people. Join Hands Day was celebrated on Saturday, May 7. We at Branch 18 chose to support the Polish War Veterans Home.
