We hope you had a joyous Easter and that the coming of spring will bring good health and happiness to you and your family. We also want to offer our best wishes to all WPA members throughout our great country. Last, but not least, we send our best regards to the WPA staff who are always so helpful to us all. We were particularly glad to hear the good news that Rosalie Gogos is recovering from her triple-bypass surgery. Our special thanks go out to Karen Davis. Karen and her children are members of the WPA, and we look forward to welcoming Karen's nieces, Cheyenne Katzin and Kayla Katzin, as soon as all the preliminaries are finished. Karen was referred to the WPA by her close friend, Margaret Gonzales. The Gonzales family has been members for several years. We hope that all those who are celebrating birthdays this month are enjoying good health as they look forward to another year. We wish you all the best. The WPA urges everyone to become part of the Join Hands Day movement. On this day, people are of all generations are asked to work together to help their community in some way. We all know how much better we feel when we pitch in to help make our community a better place for all to live. Our entire country would be better off if each of us would join hands to improve our surroundings. If everyone would spend a little time picking up trash, clearing vacant lots, or lending a helping hand to someone in need, America would be a much nicer place to live and work. The Philadelphia Hungarian Club has beautiful grounds. We hope that many people will be inspired to help keep them that way by pitching in to prepare the grounds for the coming spring and summer outdoor activities. We want to encourage all Hungarians in and around the Philadelphia area to come and join us a the Philadelphia Hungarian Club, 1125 Southampton Road in northeast Philadelphia. For directions, reservations or to find out what might be going on, please call the Club at 215- 969-9446. You do not have to be Hungarian to join the club (but it helps). People of all nationalities are welcome to become members of the WPA. The non-profit WPA has been in business for 119 years, so we must be doing something right.
