Branch 129 Columbus, OH ■■■■ , ' —M— by Árpád Sibrik I hope that spring is here to stay, after a bout with snow and slush last weekend.... The branch hopes to send both a mens and womens team to the WPA Annual Bowling Tournament this month. We wish both teams good luck. The branch voted to change the dates of our branch meetings. Our meetings will now be held on the second Wednesday of June, September and December at 7:00 p.m. at the Hungarian Reformed Church, 365 Woodrow Ave., Columbus, Ohio. Please mark those dates on your calendars and plan on attending. We would welcome your input. Some of our members have been having health problems, namely Linda Albert, Irene Voss, Priscilla Sibrik and me. Thank God everyone is healing nicely. Happy birthday wishes to Margaret Leonardo and Irene Voss. We wish them many, many more years in good health. The Hungarian Reformed Church had a very nice March 15 commemoration. The festivities included a pork dinner prepared by the church's Cultural Club. About 100 guests attended. Art Bartfay was the featured speaker. He offered a very nice presentation about Louis Kossuth and the Hungarian uprising of 1848- 1849. For all your life insurance and annuity needs, please call Arpad Sibrik at 614-231-8024. Or, write to me at 645 S. Kellner Road, Columbus, OH 43209. These young members enjoyed a special Easter party hosted recently by Branch 189 Alliance, Ohio. Branch 189 Alliance, OH by Sherri Cole Our annual Ladies Auxiliary Easter party was great fun for all. Twenty children attended the party and enjoyed food, goodie bags and an Easter egg scramble. Everyone was treated to a performance by Christopher the Magician. He was very entertaining and had the children and some adults participate in his show. We hope to see more of him at future events. Thank you, Brenda Cort, for planning and organizing the party. Thanks also to all who helped. You did an incredible job! As always our extra food, goodie bags and eggs-worth $153—were donated to the Alliance Emergency Residence. The WPA donated $500 toward the medical bills of Gage Knight. Gage is 27 months old and has stage four cancer. The Sebring American Legion held a benefit fund raiser. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gage, his family and friends. Don't forget the Ladies Auxiliary's gold outing will be held July 16. Anyone wishing to play must sign up at the William Penn club. Cost is $40 per person. More information and a sign-up sheet are posted on the board at the club. Please remember to call Margie Antonasanti if you need information about WPA life insurance or annuities. You can call her at 330-495-6744 (cell) or 330-821-5824 (home). She is at the club on Saturdays from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Istén veled.
