Branch News Branch 14 Cleveland, OH by Dawn D. Ward Branch 14 held its second meeting of the year on April 6. The branch will sponsor an outing to the Carousel Dinner Theatre Sunday, June 26, for a matinee performance of A Chorus Line. There are a limited number of seats available. Please contact Branch 14 President Caroline Lanzara, at 216- 581-8979 for more information and reservations. If you're interested in taking a bus to the 5th Annual WPA Picnic-A Great Fraternal Fest on Sept. 10 at Penn Scenic View, contact Violet Sarosi at 440-248-9012. The bus will leave from the parking lot of the First Hungarian Reformed Church, Walton Hills, Ohio, early Saturday morning and return that evening. Branch 14 welcomes the following new members: Maxine Palmerton, Jeffrey Allie, Trevor Filakosky, Marissa Filakosky, Allison Filakosky and Eric Filakosky. Please contact Jeff Ward at 440-838-122 with any prospective new members and earn "Recommender Bucks" when they become members. Congratulations to Branch 14 scholarship recipient Peter Sustarsic who will receive a bachelor's degree in music performance from Kent State University. Pete's latest accomplish­ment was a senior recital where he was the featured percussionist. After graduation, Pete will live in New York City and pursue his music career. Pete's sister, Sydney, also a schol­arship recipient, recently was pic­tured in the Akron Beacon Journal modeling at the Kent State University fashion show featuring the designs of seniors in the Shannon Rodgers and Jerrry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising of KSU. Sydney, a freshman at Kent State, is also a fashion design major. Please inform the Ward Agency at 440-838-1200 with any information regarding Branch 14 students. It's especially gratifying to publish the accomplishments of our scholarship recipients. The next Branch 14 meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the First Hungarian Reformed Church, 14530 Alexander Rd., Walton Hills, Ohio. All Branch 14 adult members are welcome and encour­aged to attend. Branch 18 Lincoln Park, MI by Barbara A. House Happy Memorial Day, everyone. Be sure to hug a veteran and say thanks. Remember: Freedom is not free. By the time you read this, I should be home in Michigan after spending the winter in Florida. You can contact me anytime at 1-313 383-4472. We at Branch 18 are busily prepar­ing to host the Annual Bowling Tournament. We sure hope you are planning to attend. We are working on many nice surprises. This is one of our events we plan with children and families in mind. This and our picnic are really something you can enjoy with your entire family. Sure hope you are bringing yours. Speaking of Helen Sabo, she was recently selected as "Resident of the Month" at Woodhaven, a convales­cent center where she now resides. Helen has certainly led a very busy life. She and Julius have been married for 57 years.
