On Oct. 11, a special dinner-dance commemorating the 1956 Freedom Fighters will be held at the McKeesport Hungarian Social Club. Then, on Nov. 8, the annual Szüreti Bál (Harvest Dance) will be held at the Club. Hope to see you there. Birthday and anniversary salutations are being sent out to all of you October celebrants, along with get well wishes to our shut-ins. Branch 249 Dayton, OH by Anne Marie Schmidt Congratulations to the WPA on hosting a successful 35th General Convention. We would like to wish the newly-elected National Officers, Board of Directors and National Auditing Committee members a very productive term. We hope that they will be guided by wisdom and dedication. I am personally very grateful to the delegates of the Convention for electing me as a member of the National Auditing Committee. I will represent Branch 249 and all WPA members with pride and integrity. Thank you to all who placed their trust and support in me. Our local bowling league began bowling on Sept 28 at Pla-Mor Lanes, 4901 Linden Ave., Dayton. We will bowl every other Sunday, except for a break during the holidays. Our Branch News awards banquet, to be held in the spring at the end of the season, will be a pizza party at Marion's. If you are interested in bowling with us, please call Anne Marie Schmidt at 937-667- 1211. Once again we had a very successful cabbage roll sales. They will surely taste good now that fall is approaching. Thank you to our customers for making this activity such a worthwhile project. We look forward to your orders during our March sale.
