Boso, president; Terry Albert, vice president; Margaret Leonardo, secretary; Priscilla Sibrik, treasurer; and Linda Albert and Irene Voss, auditors. Good luck to all the officers for the coming year. The branch held its family Christmas party on Dec. 14 at the Benson Haugh Memorial VFW Post 3424. The Hungarian menu included cabbage rolls, kolbász, fried chicken and all the trimmings. After dinner, Santa visited the juvenile members and gave each of them $5, candy and other goodies. The adult members received the famous WPA 2003 calendar and other goodies. Our thanks to the Home Office for the donation to our party. We were entertained by the Gegenheimer girls—namely, Anneliese, Brigitta and Gabriellawho along with cousin Ilona Relle and uncle Attila Relle, played Christmas songs on the violin. Bernadette Miller also sang beautiful holiday songs. The program was excellent and received great applause. We enjoyed a good turnout; the hall was full. Our next branch meeting will be held on Feb. 12 at the Hungarian Reformed Church. We hope you can join us. The following members were elected to serve our branch for the year 2003: Ralph Schuller, president; John Rusak, vice president; Diane M. Torma, secretary-treasurer; and Ron Balia, Margaret Kosheba and Martha Schuller, auditors. The officers were installed by Noreen Fritz. Rainy weather did not prevent members from attending our annual branch Christmas party, which was held at the Hungarian Reformed Church in Springdale on Dec. 14. The program began with a magical performance by magician Bill Averman, whose illusions captivated the children and adults alike. The entertainment was followed by a chorus of "Jingle Bells," which prompted the eagerly awaited arrival of Santa Claus. The children took turns sitting on Santa's lap to tell him their Christmas wishes. The everpopular gift bags were then distributed to each child by Ralph Schuller. The afternoon culminated with a wonderful array of delicious homemade food and Christmas cookies. Much thanks to the Home Office and Board of Directors for the financial assistance and promotional items. Also, many thanks to the branch officers and members who gave so much of their time and effort to make this year's party yet another success. A special thank you to Martha Schuller, Irene Charles, Helen Gosciejew and Marge Kosheba for all the time you spent preparing the food. It was great, as usual. A great big thank you to Brenda Hurbut for helping us out of a bind in the Santa department. You did a great 18 IVilli» Penn Lile, January 2003
