Bob Kantor, Rocky and Emma Borsa and all our officers for all their donations to our first Christmas Raffle. There's a whole bunch of prizes. You will have an opportunity to buy tickets at our party. We will make sure you have a super time. Come enjoy great food, gifts, entertainment and Fraternalism with us on that day. The American Hungarian Reformed Church is sponsoring a card party on Dec. 6. Call for details. Upcoming branch meetings will be held on Dec. 13, Jan. 3 and Feb. 21. Please come join us. We really have a good time. Tommy and I are "snow birding" this year. I will be back and forth as many times as possible. You can always leave me messages, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Remember the WPA for all your life insurance needs. Branch 28 Youngstown, OH by Kathy Novak It's so hard to believe Santa's going to be visiting everyone again so soon, but the calendar is showing the most joyous season is fast approaching. In conjunction with our Nov. 11 meeting, 57 members were recognized for 50 years of membership in the WPA. Each eligible member received a commemorative pin, certificate and small handouts. A social with a buffet table was held prior to the regular business meeting. If any member has questions about their years of membership, please contact me so we can look into the records. Our annual Christmas party will Branch News be held on Dec. 7. The details of this festive event will appear in next month's report. We'll also publish the names of the raffle winners and the list of 2003 branch officers next month. With the assistance of the Home Office, Branch 28 will once again participate in the Holiday Basket program. The officers will be making sure two families and local charitable groups will be receiving some assistance during the holiday season. With all the festive celebrations taking place, we don't want to forget to wish everyone having a birthday or anniversary a very special day of enjoyment. As always, but especially at this time of year, we remember with special thoughts and prayers those who have recently lost a loved one. Branch 34 Pittsburgh, PA by Andy McNelis Here's hoping everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. Now, it's time we turn our attention to the Christmas and New Year holidays. Just a reminder: the invitations for the children's Christmas party have been sent. If you did not receive your invitation, please contact me at the number below. The party will be held at the American Hungarian Club on Flowers Avenue Saturday, Dec. 14, at 1:30 pm. The branch will hold its annual meeting and election of officers at the American Hungarian Club on Flowers Avenue at 3:30 pm, on Sunday, Dec. 15. All adult life-benefit members are encouraged to attend. Birthday wishes for November go out to Miriam Hager, Beth (Primm) Henke, John L. Lovász and Marie Goettler. Branch members celebrating their birthdays during the month of December are Miklós Milcsevics, Art Mayor, Toni North and, last but not least, Terri Varas. Branch 76 Philadelphia, PA by Jack Tokár Greetings to all the officers, directors and staff of the WPA. It gave me a good feeling to see you all at the very informative sales seminar held in Pittsburgh in September. We would like to extend a big welcome to the new members of our WPA family: Aranka Mezei; Csaba Mezei and his wife Marianne Mezei; Gyöngyi Rozman; Thomas Fogarasi and his son Thomas Robert Fogarasi; Francis Vida and Veronika Farkas. We wish you all long, happy and successful lives. We also want to send a special hello to Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hart, who have recently increased their involvement with the WPA by opening a paid-in-full annuity. We wish you many joyous years of retirement, when the time comes. The Christmas party for Branch 76 will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Phildadelphia Hungarian Club, 1125 Southampton Road, Philadelphia. Last year's party was a big success with many people and their children and grandchildren. In order to provide more space, this year the children are invited from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. to see Santa and enjoy the fun. (Their parents are welcome at this time also.) Adult members of the WPA and the Hungarian Club are invited from 7:00 p.m. on. As usual, the Christmas party will be a joint affair with the Hungarian Club.
