Call the club for more information. The 1956 Hungarian revolution was recently commemorated at the Hungarian Club. Gyöngyi Harta served as master of ceremonies. As usual, it was very well done, since we have quite a few members in our club who participated in the revolution. We wish everyone a blessed and happy holiday season. Torma Branch 296 will hold its monthly meeting and election of officers on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hungarian Reformed Church in Springdale. The meeting will be followed by final preparations for the annual Christmas party to be held on Dec. 14 at 2:00 p.m. All Branch 296 members are welcome and encour­aged to attend both gatherings. Very special birthday greetings to two very special people: Martha Schuller and Noreen Fritz. Happy birthday to all of our members celebrating their special day in December. Branch 590 Cape Coral, FL by Joan Mauerman I find it hard to believe that Christmas is right around the comer. This year has gone by so fast, but they say that happens when you get older. Branch 590's Christmas party and elections will be held Dec. 1 at the Broadway Palm in Fort Myers. On Dec. 20, some of our members will be going on a boat ride in Punta Gorda. Margaret and Bob Menner are vacationing in New Jersey, visiting family and friends. Sara and John Lesko are visiting family in Chesa­peake Bay and Connecticut. Some of our members attended the performance of "Wizard of Oz" at the Harrision School of Arts in Lakeland. It was a superb show. Get well wishes go out to Elizabeth Posey who was hospitalized recently in Fort Myers. A fine time was had at the 50th wedding anniversary party for Helen and Eugene Toth, held Nov. 1 in Port Charlotte. The WPA was well­­represented with about 20 members there.
