Branch News All articles and photog|aph for the December issue of the William Farm Life ara due in our office b/ I Jo/ember '10, 2002. Branch 18 Lincoln Park, MI by Barbara A. House Well, fall has arrived. We went from 85 to 55 degrees in 24 hours. We have had a very warm summer. Fall is very welcome here in Michigan. Hope you are having great weather, too. Wasn't that a wonderful picnic at Penn Scenic View? Our members had a marvelous time. We are already planning for next year. It was so good to see our wonderful friends like Marge and Walt Bugielski, Alex Goydan, Ernie Raymond and his "daughter" and all our members who attended. Thanks, Walt, for all the goodies. Hi, Ernie! Did you get the picture? My only regret is that I stayed so busy I never got any szalonna. It looked and smelled like heaven. On the way to Pennsylvania, we stopped at Bethlen Home. What a treat. We were all treated to a marvelous lunch and tour. Many thanks to all our many hosts. We had a wonderful time. We also saw the site where Flight 93 went down. It was sobering, but it sure made us all proud Americans. Before the picnic, our members also visited the site where the nine miners were trapped and rescued. We packed a lot into 40 hours, and we can't wait to do it again. The music at the picnic was the best. Branch 18 Secretary Rose Antal won the 50-50 raffle. Many thanks to Endre Csornán for all his hard work. Without him we would not have a picnic. He is a true fraternalist and is much loved. Our Operation Christmas Child campaign is wrapping up. Many thanks to all who participated. Hello to Vilma Kéri. It was a pleasure doing business with you. Thanks to Betty and Rey Holguin. Hope you're feeling better. Hi, Mike Poliska. Hope you're better, too. Many thanks to Rev. McKinsey for all your kindness. We continue to remember you in our prayers. Happy birthday to my mom, Irene Korpák. We are really having some great times together. Hope to spend many more with you. I love you. Happy birthday also to George Sipos, LaVerns Exner, Debbie Jackson, Zsuzsanna Tuske, Julia Bujdosó, Don Boswell, Doris Schvarckopf, Olin Wade, Rita Marchelletta, Mildred Nemeth, Margaret Montgomery, Pete Mayoros, Olga Burinda, Hope Boswell, Rose Tuske, Paula Stubbs, Steve Jurko, Doug Truesdell, Jessica Morsfield, Anna Nagy and, last but not least, my uncle Ernie Gall. Hope all you great members have many more. We couldn't have such a great branch without your support. Happy anniversary to Rocky and Emma Borsa, two of our most generous and hard-working members.
