Branch News f Branch 13 'A V Trenton, NJ J by Elsie Radvany The officers and members of Branch 13 congratulate National Director Anthony C. Beke on his election as Chairman of the WPA Board of Directors. We are very proud of you and your lovely wife, Marguerite, who is very supportive of you. Mr. Beke has been treasurer of Branch 13 for many years and has been very active in the life of the WPA. We all wish him the very best in his new position. We are certain he will work for the best interest of the WPA. Now that the two most important fraternal activities are behind us, we would like to congratulate all the bowlers and golfers who received cash awards for their efforts. Bowlers from Branch 13—namely Marguerite Beke, Kym Beke and Andy Demko— received cash awards. Brian Beke bowled the second highest game in the tournament. He also received a cash award. We wish everyone a safe and pleasant summer. For servicing your life insurance needs, contact Elsie H. On the 4th of July the annual church picnic was held and it was well attended despite the intense heat. I was not in town so I was unable to attend. However, let me offer my thanks to the cooks and bakers that make this such an enjoyable event. We celebrated the 40th anniversary of the ordination of the Rev. Joseph Somos, paster of St. Stephen King of Hungary Church, on July 11. This event also was a farewell party for Father Somos since he will be A Remembrance Members of the WPA’s Official Family placed wreaths at several landmarks in New Brunswick, N.J., June 4 prior to the city’s annual Hungarian Festival. Shown here at the memorial to Sgt. Frank Z. Molnár (recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor) are National Directors George F. Mirkovich (left) and Michael J. Hrabar (lower right) and National Auditing Committee member Ernest J. Mozer Sr. retiring this fall due to his failing health. We congratulate him on his 40 years of service, we thank him for the past eight years as our pastor and leader, and we wish him all the best in his retirement. Let us all keep him in our prayers to give him the strength to endure the physical pain that he is suffering. We will all miss you and your meaningful homilies. Thanks to all who worked so very hard to make this a memorable celebration. We enjoyed the Hungarian Club's annual picnic (without rain!) on July 18. Again, thanks to all who labored before and during, making this another fun-filled get together. It will probably take a few days of starvation to let go of the pounds put on by the very tasty langos. Please remember in your prayers all our members and friends who have departed for this life, and all who are ill. If you have any news you would like to share (weddings, birth announcements, moving, award, etc.) please contact me. Don't forget about those guaranteed policies that are being offered through Dec. 1 for all current life benefit members.
