Postmaster: If undelivered, please send form 3579 to: William Penn Association 709 Brighton Road Pittsburgh, PA 15233 Golf Continued from Page 1 announced that next year’s golf tournament would be held in Hershey, Pa., on July 18, 1998. After the golf awards were distributed, the winners of the benefit raffle were drawn. First prize-a golf getaway weekend for two at the Ramada Inn and Culbertson Hills Golf Resort-was Tom House of Branch 18 Lincoln Park, Mich. Mary Ann Wukovits of Branch 132 South Bend, Ind., won the basket of cheer, but decided to auction off her prize to the highest bidder, with the proceeds going to the scholarship foundation. National Director Barbara House won the bidding at $85. Other raffle prize winners were: Theresa Petrone (three-piece luggage set); Robert Hartnett (35mm camera); National Director Andrew McNelis (WPA wallet with money); National Director George Mirkovich (afghan); Louis Taylor (a dozen golf balls); and Mary Jackson (golf umbrella). Many other dinner guests won free door prizes given away after the raffle. The highlight of the evening was the auction raffle for a new set of Ping golf clubs and bag. The auction raffle was conducted by National Director and Tournament Co- Administrator George Mirkovich. He was assisted by National Director and Tournament Co-Administrator Michael Tomcsak. Of the 20 life-benefit members chosen at random to participate in the auction raffle, only one stood alone at the end to claim the clubs: Stephen Pronai of Branch 249 Dayton, Ohio. So came to an end another fun and successful golf tournament weekend. Our thanks go to President Charles, Secretary Toth and Co- Administrators Mirkovich and Tomcsak for organizing a great tournament. We also thank the staff and management of both the Ramada Inn and Culbertson Hills for providing us with fine facilities and service. We also thank our hole sponsors, the skill shot spotters and those Home Office employees who worked hard to make this weekend so enjoyable for everyone. We hope to see you next July in Hershey, Pa. Correction In our coverage of the annual bowling tournament in our June 1997 issue, we incorrectly identified the Rev. Barnabas Kiss of Holy Cross Hungarian Roman Catholic Church as “the Rev. Matthew Kiss.” We apologize for the error. Donald Strom of Branch 226 McKeesport, Pa., receives his $500 prize for getting closest to the pin at the 15th hole. Presenting the prize are (l-r) National Director Michael F. Tomcsak, National Director George F. Mirkovich and Chairman of the Board Michael J. Hrabar. ATTENTION!
