Les, like his father before him, was a longtime member of the Verhovay-William Penn. Because of his long hours working as a tool designer, Les never held a major office at the branch. But, whenever we needed him, he was there. Unless he was ill, he made the attempt to attend every branch meeting and helped on just about every branch project. Les was a meat cutter in his younger years and was the branch’s official "sausage mas­ter.” If you ever attended one of our banquets, then you tasted Les’ sausage. He had the distinction of being the only man I knew who had actually seen the Chicago Cubs play in the World Series. Our deepest sympathy goes to Pam and David and the grandchil­dren.
