FABIAN KO VITZ, JR. JOHANNA H. FABIANKOV1TZ HARRISBURG — Members of Branch 336 and throughout the Association were deeply saddened by recent deaths of two longtime, dedicated members: Branch Coordinator Alexander F. Fabiankovitz Jr. and his wife Johanna H. Fabiankovitz. Johanna passed away Nov. 30, 1995, in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro, Pa. Alex died one month later, Dec. 30, 1995, in Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg. Alex served as branch coordinator for 45 years. He was a tireless promoter and recruiter for the Association who also represented his branch as a delegate to nine General Conventions. His efforts on behalf of the Association were recognized in 1991 during the 32nd General Convention, when he was one of 21 members to receive a special plaque of appreciation from the Board of Directors. A lifelong resident of Harrisburg, he was a fixture at the Association’s annual bowling tournament and co-owner of the former Gazer’s Cafe in Harrisburg. Johanna was retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and had been a member and past president of the Golden Hearts Senior Citizens Club of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She, too, was an active member, participating in many branch and Association events along with her husband. Both were members of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pennbrook, Pa. The couple is survived by two sons, Alex J. Ill and Frank J., and a daughter, Maryjo, all of Harrisburg; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Alex is also survived by a sister, Theresa Smisl, and two brothers, Gazer and Frank, all of Harrisburg. Johanna is also survived by a sister, Martha Baron of Gonzales, Texas. Masses of Christian Burial were celebrated for each at St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Swatara Township, Pa. Memorial contributions for Alex may be made to the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc., 709 Brighton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15233. Memorial contributions for Johanna may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, 2600 N. Third St., Harrisburg, PA 17110. May they both rest in peace. We ask our fellow members to pray for the eternal rest of Mr. and Mrs. Fabiankovitz and all our recently departed members listed below: DECEMBER 1995 0001 BRIDGEPORT, CT William C. Black Elizabeth M.
