Some of the young members who attended Branch 13’s annual Christmas party happily display the gifts they received. Branch 10 Barton, OH Branch 40 Martins Ferry, OH Branch 349 Weirton, WV By Louis A. Fodor National Director Our three branches held a combined Christmas party in December at Someplace Special. The weather cooperated beautifully; there were only a few snowflakes on the road, just enough for Santa Claus’ sleigh to slide on. More than 100 people were on hand to receive Santa and his main helper, Mrs., Claus. The two went right to work, handing out stockings full of presents to the children. After all the excitement died down, members and guests lined up for a buffet dinner, prepared by the staff of Someplace Special. While eating, all were quiet. After everyone had their fill, gifts were given out to the adults, and all joined in a sing-along of American and Hungarian Christmas songs, accompanied by Dan Laslo, Lou Fodor and Frank Virág on violins. It was a successful affair, judging from the glowing remarks of the members in attendance. Our thanks to all who helped make our party a success: Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, Gabe and Irene Rozsa, Joe and Mary Tocash, Jim and Darla Kalman, Dan and Margaret Laslo, Ethel and Louis Fodor and all others who helped pitch in. May all of you have a happy new year! Branch 13 Trenton, NJ By Elsie H. Radvany Branch 13 Secretary The officers of Branch 13 wish everyone a happy and blessed new year. Branch 13 held its annual election of officers in conjunction with the family Christmas party on Sunday, Dec. 11. The following officers were unanimously reelected for 1995: Frank J. Radvany, president; Joseph Hamari, vice president; Elsie H. Radvany, secretary; Anthony C. Beke, treasurer; and Margaret Hamari, controller. Stephen Barancz duly installed the officers. The Christmas party was a very joyous occasion. The room was beautifully decorated by Margaret and Joseph Hamari. It was nice to see the many smiling faces of the children, parents and proud grandparents. President Radvany extended Christmas greetings from the National Officers, Board of Directors, National Auditing Committee and Branch 13 officers. Margaret Hamari provided get well cards which were signed by all the members present for two of our faithful members, Michael Kremper and Margaret Barancz. We wish them both God’s blessings. The children received gifts, Christmas stockings filled with goodies, a Christmas carol book, a coloring book and crayons provided by the Association. Branch 13 wishes to express a most heartfelt thank you to the Home Office for the generous contribution to our Christmas party. A delicious buffet was enjoyed by everyone, exemplifying the true fraternal fellowship at the party.
