Branch 129 Columbus, OH By Arpad Sibrik Branch 129 Coordinator Branch 129 held a meeting Dec. 9 at Leonardo’s during which members voted to make donations of $200 each to the Hungarian Reformed Church and St. Ladislaus Catholic Church and of $100 to the William Penn scholarship fund. Coleman, vice president; Bonnie Tokár, secretary; Priscilla Sibrik, treasurer; and Charles Boso and Margaret Leonardo, auditors. On Dec. 12, our branch held its family Christmas party at the beautiful VFW Post 495 Hall on Princeton Avenue. About 260 members and guests attended. The menu included delicious cabbage rolls, sausage, fried chicken, potatoes, sauerkraut and Christmas cookies. There also were plenty of liquid refreshments. A magic show and old Santa delighted the children. Santa gave each child candy, a coloring book, crayons and a $5 bill. Everyone had a good time and went home happy. We wish everyone a prosperous New Year. For any insurance needs, please call Arpad Sibrik at (614) 231- 8024, or write him at 645 S. Kellner Road, Columbus, OH 43209. Branch 132 South Bend, IN This year our branch distributed four baskets to the needy for Christmas. Many thanks to the Board of Directors for its donation. This, along with additional money from the branch and the free-will donation of canned goods at the branch Christmas party, made it possible to give out some very nice food baskets. Helen Pécsi and the members of her committee did an excellent job. We held our annual children’s Christmas party Dec. 12 at the branch. Branch Coordinator Frank Wukovits Jr. extended greetings to the youngsters and their guests on behalf of the officers of the branch. This year’s party featured a performance by professional magician Bill Harvey. Many said he was the best entertainment in recent memory. Emily and Shannon Radecki volunteered to lead everyone in the singing of Christmas carols. Good job! Santa (Harry "Butch” Thompson) paid us a visit, bringing candy and gifts for the children. Santa stayed and gave everyone the chance to have their picture taken with him—something the children will treasure for years to come. Branch President Alex Horvath organized and supervised this wonderful party. Thanks to Ann Horvath, Helen Pécsi, Carol Kumm, Mary Ann Wukovits and Frank Wukovits III for all their help. From all of us at Branch 132, may you have a truly healthy and prosperous New Year. Branch 226 McKeesport, PA By Alexander J.
