Everyone also will have a chance to win a new set of golf clubs and bag during the exciting auction raffle. Once again, our national golf tournament promises an enjoy­able summer weekend for all. Entry fee for the tournament is $30 for William Penn members and $35 for non-members. The fee includes greens fees, carts, a golf gift at Number 1 tee and refreshments along the course. The entry fee does not include the cost for Saturday night’s a­­wards dinner. Tickets for the dinner are $20 per person. Accommodations at the Shera­ton Inn Pittsburgh North are $58 per night, single or double. Golfers will be responsible for making their own hotel reserva­tions. After we receive your group’s entry form, your group’s contact person will receive a pack­et of information containing Eighth Annual WPA National Golf Tournament hotel reservation cards. Each con­tact person will be responsible for returning the completed card (or cards) directly to the Sheraton Inn. Golfers, their branches and other interested parties may also sign on as sponsors for holes along the golf course. Any company, branch, group or individual may be designated as a hole sponsor for a donation of $100. All money raised through the hole sponsorship program will benefit the William Penn’s scholarship foundation. The name of each sponsor will appear on a sign which will be placed at the tee of the hole being sponsored. Those wishing to sponsor holes should contact National Treasur­er Frances A. Furedy at the Home Office as soon as possible. One final reminder: all reserva­tion forms are due at the Home Office by June 14, 1991. We hope to receive your reservation soon and look forward to seeing you at the tournament. *To be eligible for the hole-in-one contest, a golfer must be a life benefit member of the William Penn Association with at least one year’s premium paid. Only the first eligible golfer to score a hole-in-one on the designated par-3 hole will win the prize. Bowlers hit Pittsburgh for annual tournament PITTSBURGH — As we go to press with this issue, the 48th Annual National Bowling Tournament and Scholarship Days are only one week away. Some of you living outside the Pittsburgh area won’t be reading this until after the tournament. But many of those in this area will be read­ing this before the tournament, and it is those members we again invite to join us for the festivities, May 24 to 26. Ask just about anyone who has attended one of our past bowling tournaments and they will tell you about the fun you can have during this fraternal weekend. From Friday night’s recep­tion at the Hyatt Regency to the bowling competition on Saturday and Sunday, there will be plenty of chances to relax and good times to enjoy. The most exciting part of the weekend could occur Sat­urday, May 25, during the team event at Princess Lanes, located next to the Caste Vil­lage Shopping Center in Whitehall. If an eligible member rolls a perfect 300 game during the team event, he or she will win $10,000. If two or more eli­gible members bowl perfect games, they will split the prize equally. This is the third year in a row the William Penn has offered this prize, but no one has won it. We would really enjoy seeing one of our mem­bers going home $10,000 richer. We also would like to re­mind all those attending any of the weekend’s activities that tickets for the Association’s free trip to Hungary drawing will be available at the registra­tion table. Tickets are avail­able for a donation of $2 each. All proceeds from the drawing will benefit the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholar­ship Foundation, Inc.
