This year’s tournament will be played on the 18 holes of the Venango Trails Golf Club, located just a few miles north of Pittsburgh. Accommodations for golfers and guests will be at the Sheraton Inn-Warrendale. The schedule for the weekend will be similar to that of previous tournaments. There will be a golfers’ reception Friday evening at the hotel, featuring the popular putting contest for the benefit of the W illiam Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation. The tournament will be played Saturday and will include various skill shot contests throughout the course. Organizers are planning to again hold the Hole-In- One contest with the first eligible golfer scoring an ace on the designated hole receiving a new car. To be eligible for the Hole-In- One contest, a golfer must be a life-benefit member of the William Penn Association with at least one year’s premium paid. The official program will conclude Saturday evening with the annual golf awards dinner at the hotel. The evening will also feature a big door prize giveaway and the exciting auction raffle for a set of new golf clubs.
