September 1989, William Penn Life, Page 7 In Memóriám DR. DONALD J. STEWART ROSS, PA — The Association was saddened by the recent death of Dr. Donald J. Stewart, former Supreme Medical Examiner of the former Catholic Knights of St. George. Dr. Stewart died of a stroke Aug. 16,1989, in Allegheny Gen­eral Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was 86. Dr. Stewart was a physician and surgeon for 50 years, practic­ing in the Carrick section of Pitts­burgh. He was affiliated with St. Joseph Hospital on the South Side, now part of the South Hills Health System. He served as Supreme Medical Examiner of the Knights from 1957 until 1983 when the society merged with the William Penn. He joined the Knights in 1930 and received the Legion of St. George Award in 1974. He is survived by his wife, Mary Benz Stewart; a son, Richard S. of Clairton, Pa.; a daughter, Julia C. Healey of Pleasant Hills, Pa.; nine stepchildren; and a grandson. Funeral Mass was held Aug. 18 at St. Sebastian Church in Ross. Interment was in St. Mary’s Church Cemetery in Shaler, Pa. The Association extends its deepest sympathies to Mrs. Stew­art and her family. May he rest in peace. MRS. ETHEL FODOR PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Mrs. Ethel Fodor, 63, a member of Branch 159 Phoenixville and for­mer Home Office employee, pass­ed away Aug. 13, 1989. She was born on Aug. 22, 1926, the daughter of the late George and Mary Prekup. She was a former resident of Du­­quesne, Pa. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fodor was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Prekup. She is survived by her husband, Charles Fodor of Phoenixville; a son, Charles Jr. of California; a daughter, Mary Ann Dries of Phoenixville; and two grandsons. Services were held Aug. 16 at Parkside United Church of Christ in Phoenixville. Interment was in Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville. May she rest in peace.
