In Memóriám January 1987, William Penn Life, Page 11 Adorján, Margaret 0226 McKeesport, pa SYLVESTER J. WILKER Sylvester J. Wilker, a 70-year member of the William Penn Association and former Catholic Knights of St. George, died Nov. 27, 1986, in Mercy Hospital in Johnstown, Pa., following a brief illness. He was 85. In his service and leadership he was quiet and unassuming, a quiet hero of fraternalism who gently touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a member of Branch 8074, St. Michael’s Church, Hol­­lidaysburg, Pa., and was a founder of the Allegheny Club, the branch home, in 1935. He served on the club’s board of governors from the date it was founded. Sylvester served as a member of the National Fraternal Commit­tee of the CKSG from 1969 to 1982, and was a delegate to CKSG’s biennial conventions from 1954 to 1982. He received the Knight of the Year Award in 1973 and in 1974 received the CKSG’s highest recognition, the Legion of St. George Award for distinguished and exemplary ser­vice in the lay apostolaié. Perhaps his greatest contribu­tion to the Association was his service as a professional consul­tant for the development of Mount St. George as a national fraternal center, including Camp Rolling Hills and the retreat house and conference center. He retired as a self-employed general contractor in 1971. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; five children and 16 grandchildren; and a sister, Agnes E. Kallenberg of Altoona, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Michael’s Church on Dec. 1 with concelebrants Msgr. Faber J. Malloy and the Rev. Joseph L. Weidman. A mem­orial Mass was also offered in the chapel at Mount St. George. DENES J. SZÁSZ The Association was saddened by the recent death of Denes J. Szász, a long-time member of the William Penn well-known for his dedication to the Association. He was 82. Denes helped organize and part­icipated in countless fraternal act­ivities. He also served as branch coordinator for Branch 45, Cleve­land, for many years. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth. WILLIAM J. BLIZMAN The members of Branch 85, Daisytown, Pa., were saddened by the death of Branch President William J. Blizman. He passed away Dec. Í0, 1986.
