Branch 132 South Bend, Indiana The William Penn Club, South Bend Branch 132, again took part in the Annual South Bend Downtown Riverbend Plaza Ethnic Festival on Saturday, June 30th and July 1st. Our famous Hungarian cuisine, that is, delicious gulyás, Hungarian home made sausage, stuffed cabbage, langalo and pastries were served for the two days in the William Penn Hungarian Booth — the “MAGYAR CSARDA”. Thousands of people were served during the course of the two day event. Our Hungarian heritage and image was well served by the many dedicated William Penn fraternalists who labored for days in preparing and dispensing the food. The same people also worked diligently and successfully in the promotion of our Annual Home Coming Picnic held on Saturday, July 28th on the grounds at the William Penn Home. Again the same delicious Hungarian food was served along with fine refreshments and dancing from early evening until midnight. Our sincere thanks to all the dedicated members and workers who made the Ethnic Festival and the Home Coming Annual Picnic a success.
