The William Penn Association, Branch 8 located in Johnstown, Pa., held its 94th election of Branch Of­ficers for 1984 and its Annual Children’s Christmas party on Sunday, December 11, 1983 at the Social Hall of the Hungarian Ev. & Reform Church, corner of 9th Ave. & Chestnut St. (Cambria City) section of Johns­town, Pa. Re-elected for the 8th consecutive term as president of the Johnstown Branch 8 was Vera Petruska of 961 East Ave. Also re-elected were: Eliza­beth Buckshaw, Vice-President; Willard Maurer, Secretary; Steve Petruska, Jr., Treasurer; and Ida Sipos and Elizabeth Maurer as Auditors. After the installation of Branch 8 of­ficers, the annual Christmas party was held with Santa greeting all the Branch 8 —Johnstown, Pa. children and parents around a huge yule tree decorated with colored lights and tinsel. Santa gave out yuletide gifts, carol books, calendars and refreshments were served. The Branch 8 officers and its members wish all a blessed holiday season and a pros­perous and and happy 1984. Radvany; Vice-President, Joseph Hamari; Secretary, Elsie H. Radvany; Treasurer, Anthony C. Beke; and Controller, Betty Kennedy. Branch 8 —Johnstown, Pa. The Annual Family Christmas Party commenced after the election of of­ficers. The American Hungarian Democratic Citizens’ Club was beautifully decorated for the occasion. National Director and President of Branch 13, Frank J. Radvany, wel­comed the children, parents, grand­parents, and members present and ex­tended Christmas greetings. Branch 13 Family Christmas Party. The children gathered around the Christmas tree and were presented with stockings filled with goodies and gifts. A delicious buffet was enjoyed by everyone which exemplified the true fraternal fellowship at the party.
